Hi, I'm Jay 👋
I'm a software engineer, dad of two young readers, and the founder of Mightyreads.
My kids love comic-style graphic novels, but I noticed they weren't reflecting on what they read. I wanted a way to spark deeper thinking without making reading a chore.
I started with “Goodreads for kids” (badges + simple reflections) and quickly saw a bigger opportunity: a playful literacy companion that helps kids think more deeply and gives parents simple, meaningful evidence of growth.
Mightyreads isn't here to replace teachers or turn reading into a race. It's a small, thoughtful companion that celebrates progress and nudges better thinking.
Thanks for giving it a try. I built it for my family; now it's for yours.
